The following information specifies how Universum will process your personal data when participating in the Swedish Student of the year campaign 2023.

Purpose of processing
For selecting a winner of the Swedish Student of the year campaign 2023.
Processed personal data
Name, email address, phone number, application (potentially including answers, concepts, motivational letters), and CV (including photo, age gender, study/career background, university, main field of study, or any other information you may choose to provide) and technical data (being IP address, browser settings, operating system, platform, log-in information). We encourage participants not to include personal identity numbers/social security numbers or other sensitive information in their uploaded CV.
Basis of processing
Universum will process your Personal Data based on the legitimate interest in selecting a winner of the Swedish Student of the Year campaign 2022. If you have any questions about how we process your personal data, please contact: contact@universumglobal.com
Time of processing
If participating in a competition, without winning, Universum will only keep your Personal Data until the competition has been completed. Unless you have signed up for any other of our services, we will delete all your Personal Data when the campaign has ended. As a clarification, every year’s edition of the respective competitions constitutes a “new campaign”.
For winners, Universum will process your Personal Data for up to two years, where after all Personal Data will be deleted, unless you have signed up for any other of our services.
Please note: The companies sponsoring the different Student of the year campaigns might be interested in keeping your applications for longer than the competition of the competition. In these cases, the terms and conditions and privacy policy of the specific sponsor will apply.
Recipients of personal data
As stated in the Terms and Conditions for Universum websites, Årets Professional (aretsprofessional.se), Årets Student (aretsstudent.se), Student of the Year, and Professional of the Year are sponsored by companies. We will transfer the Personal Data you submit to us to the company that is sponsoring the part of the category that you have applied for. The sponsoring companies differ from year to year, but it is clearly stated who the sponsors are for each category.
For the above-stated purposes, your Personal Data may be transferred to the following recipients:
