Competition Notice
Information regarding the competition and the performance
- Relevant terms for the competition: To apply, Based in Sweden. To apply you need to have studied for 3-4 years, have basic programming skills and interest in cybersecurity. This competition is done in accordance with Universum’s GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN COMPETITIONS. The participants must reside in Sweden or in the Baltics.
- Relevant time limits: the competition will start on the 13th of December 2023 and will continue until January 14th, 2024.
- The competition task/performance: The participants need to answer the following questions: "What is your experience within cybersecurity and how did you develop this interest?", "How do you see the importance of cybersecurity as of now and the coming 2-3 years?", "List any relevant cybersecurity and programming skills you possess (e.g., penetration testing, cryptography, network security, OOP).", "What are your short-term and long-term career goals in the field of cybersecurity?", "Why should you become the Cyber Security Talent of the Year 2024?
has context menu". The answers can include longer answers. The answers need to be provided through the specific channel created for the competition. The answers will be evaluated on creativity and conciseness. One winner will be awarded a prize.
Participants sign up by providing their contact information and providing answers to Omegapoint´s posted questions. Members will also be able to nominate a friend, whereby Universum will send an invitation to the nominated friend inviting them to the competition. If entering the competition, the nominated friend becomes a Member.
Information regarding how the winner is appointed and the criteria assessed when appointing a winner: The creativity and conciseness used when applying will be evaluated by the sponsors' jury.
Information regarding where and when the name of the winner will be published: The result of the competition will be announced in March/April 2024 at Universum Awards in Stockholm, to which the winner and finalists will be invited. The name of the winner will be published on this website and they will stay published for a maximum of three months.
*Awards/prizes: The winner will be offered the chance to receive mentoring from Omegapoint for the remainder of their study period, ensuring the best possible start for a career in cybersecurity. The winner will also be offered the opportunity to participate in one of Omegapoints competence conferences during the autumn 2024. Further, the winner gets the opportunity to visit some of our offices and will also have a one-on-one meeting with the authors of the book “Secure by design”. Last, but not least, the winner gets two free tickets to Omegapoints student conference on the 12th of April 2024.
